The Pigeon Lake Watershed Association and the Summer Village of Sundance Beach summer students teamed up to help eradicate some invasive species earlier this year.

The students pulled out several varieties of invasive plants including Oxeye Daisy and Sow-thistle.

Actively participating in events such as this are crucial to keeping invasive plants from taking over.

We encourage all residents to keep an eye out around your own property for invasive species, and what can be done to remove them, either yourself or by setting up an event with friends and family to tackle the problem together.
