John Turgeon Community Hall

This facility has an important role in our community.  It's a place for gathering the community, public meetings, special events, recreation, and more.

Be sure to check out our webpage to see its' many attributes and how to book the hall for your own event.

Playground

In Spring 2022 our new playground was officially opened.

There's plenty of room to play and it's located conveniently behind the John Turgeon Hall.

Pickle Ball

Come play pickle ball on our new court in the parking lot behind the John Turgeon Hall.  It's one of the fastest growing sports in North America! Invented about 55 years ago, it's seeing an explosion in interest, especially among seniors.  Some describe it as a cross between tennis, table tennis and badminton.  Bring your own balls and paddles. The court will be available unless the parking lot is needed for a special event.

Basketball

For a casual round of hoops, we've installed a basketball net near the playground so the bigger kids can play.

Tetherball

We've chosen a nice shady location for the tetherball pole.  Tetherball was a sensation in the 1970s and has become a popular schoolyard addition.  If you need to brush up on the rules of the game, check out this link.

Figure Eight

The brand new parking lot is a great surface to practice your bike riding skills. We've painted a figure eight to provide some challenge.

Four Square

We've also painted a four square design in the parking lot.  If you don't know the rules of this popular schoolyard game check out this link.

A Place to Rest

We have community benches located around the Summer Village, and encourage you to take time to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Some of the benches have been donated in memorial to family members.  Please contact our office if you would like to donate a bench.
