Hall and Office Re-opening

Posted on Thursday July 30, 2020 at 01:03PM

The Covid-19 pandemic is still upon us, but we are re-opening the office and community hall with health and safety protocols.
Here's a summary of our re-opening plans:

Office: We are still working on safety protocols for the office, so it will continue to remain physically closed to the public. You may still phone or email with any questions, mail in documents, or drop off documents or cheques in the mailbox located on the back of the community bulletin board outside of the office.

Community Library: Closed until further notice. As we will not be implemented safety protocols required for libraries, we will wait until Stage 3 has been lifted and it is safe for residents to use this service.

John Turgeon Community Hall: Open for rent with restrictions. The current restrictions in response to COVID-19 are:
1. Maximum 50 people

2. Public Health Orders must still be followed, which will be the responsibility of the renter, including but not limited to:
a) Physical distancing requirements (2 metres) between people that are not members of the same household or their family cohort;
b) Prohibition on attendance by sick or isolating persons
c) Hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette. Hand sanitizer to be supplied by renter;
d) Food safety recommendations: avoid sharing food, drinks or utensils (even within a cohort); and
e) Keep windows open when possible; close when event is completed.

3. The Summer Village will have cleaning supplies available; surfaces that are touched often should be cleaned during the event by the renter.

Everyone must follow all provincial guidelines and health orders:
